Maintenance Technician
Hexcel is seeking a Maintenance Technician in its Windsor plant. The position is day shift with the potential for weekend and overtime work. Hexcel is operational 24 hours.
Wage is $22 per hour, negotiable depending on experience.
Essential Job Functions: install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all electrical and electronic control equipment. Work with 480 volt electricity and lower. Perform testing and repairs on general Plant distribution systems and power circuitry. Read and understand Original Equipment Manufacturers drawings and schematics. Assist with new equipment and specifications and work with installation of new equipment to help facilitate a good understanding of equipment operations and maintenance requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Journeyman electrical license, four years related maintenance/electrical/electronic/instrumentation experience in a manufacturing facility.
Experience with VFD and PLCs and electronic diagnostic troubleshooting.
General building maintenance with pneumatic/hydraulic, welding, HVAC understanding as well as preventative maintenance including replacing light fixtures.
Excellent Math and analytical skills
Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder diagrams
Familiar with National Electric Code and all other applicable state and local electrical codes
Proficient using a digital camera and Microsoft Office Software
Ability to travel periodically
Pass a pre-employment physical/substance abuse screen and background check
