T.I.G.H.T. Youth Corps
WHAT IS THE T.I.G.H.T. YOUTH CORPS?
T.I.G.H.T. stands for Teamwork, Innovation, Growth, Hope, and Training.
T.I.G.H.T. is a youth program for ages 13-17 that is designed to demonstrate
to the community of Weld County that with their service and positive
actions, through teamwork, innovation, growth, hope, and training, communities
can view youth as part of the solution and not the problem.
Our number one priority is to provide a safe environment for the entire
crew while providing educational and basic life skills components. Our
goal is to see each crew member succeed not only in the TIGHT program
but in life as well. Our curriculum and lesson plans are all designed
to help crew members learn to make better choices with positive results
and become productive independent citizens.
To help our crew members achieve these goals we provide the following:
- Continued Education in our lab
- Leadership Skills
- Comprehensive Guidance / Counseling
- Follow-up Services
- Adult Mentoring
- Community Service Projects
- Independent Living Training
- Fieldtrips and Socialization Skills
Only individuals referred through Social Services
are eligible for this program.
Our staff and crew leaders have chosen to be a
part of the T.I.G.H.T. program because we believe in the power of youth!
